This little mountain town is one of our favorite places in Colorado, and we can’t wait for you to experience it too. Fish Creek Falls – A breathtaking 283-foot waterfall just minutes from town, with trails for all ability levels.

Yampa River Core Trail – A scenic paved path perfect for walking or biking along the river.

Horseback Riding – Ride through aspen groves and meadows for a true Colorado experience.

Mountain Biking & Hiking – Explore Emerald Mountain, Buffalo Pass, and countless other scenic trails.

Water & Relaxation:

Tubing or Paddleboarding the Yampa River – A refreshing way to spend a summer afternoon. Warning: This may be unavailable depending on water levels and temperature.

Hot Springs – Relax in the natural mineral waters at Strawberry Park Hot Springs (reservations recommended) or visit Old Town Hot Springs in the heart of downtown.

Yampa River Botanic Park – A peaceful garden with walking paths and seasonal blooms.

Downtown Steamboat – Browse boutiques, art galleries, and specialty shops, or enjoy the local dining scene.

Howler Alpine Slide – Ride the chairlift up Howelsen Hill and zoom down the mountain on a fun alpine slide.
