Eat & Drink

Where We Love to Eat & Drink in Steamboat

One of our favorite things to do together is eat and drink our way through a city—whether it’s a fancy restaurant with a tasting menu or a dive bar with sticky floors and great nachos. Steamboat is no exception.

We’ve put together a few of our favorite spots around Steamboat Springs for good food, good drinks, and good vibes. Whether you’re in the mood for cocktails, craft beer, a nice dinner, or a laid-back bar, here are a few places we love (and think you will too).

Nice Restaurants

Great for a proper dinner out before (or after) a few drinks.

Cypress

Elevated comfort food with a Southern twist in a warm, neighborhood-style space along the river. Think fried chicken meets mountain town.

E3 Chophouse

Steakhouse along the Yampa known for hand-cut steaks, big patios, and a classic “nice dinner” feel.

Table 79

Contemporary American spot downtown with “elevated comfort food” and craft cocktails in a cozy, modern space. Reservations recommended.

Bésame

Latin-inspired small plates and cocktails in a romantic, lively setting—great for sharing dishes and lingering over drinks.

Casual Restaurants & Daytime Spots

Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or a low-key meal.

Winona’s

Steamboat classic on Lincoln Ave with big breakfasts, baked goods, and hearty comfort food.

Yampa Sandwich Company

Go-to spot for creative sandwiches and quick, easy lunches before heading back outside.

Taco Cabo

Casual tacos and Mexican eats right by the river with a laid-back vibe.

Vaquero’s Mexican

Fun, family-friendly Mexican restaurant downtown with big plates and margaritas.

Salt & Lime

Bright, vibrant Mexican spot downtown with great tacos, margaritas, and a popular rooftop deck when the weather’s nice.

Bars, Breweries & Pub-Style

Food + drinks + easy hangout energy.

Mountain Tap Brewery

Wood-fired pizzas and house-brewed beers in a relaxed, indoor/outdoor setting. Great for groups.

O’Neil’s Tavern and Grill

Irish-American pub with burgers, steaks, Irish classics, and a big whiskey/beer selection right in town.

Mythology Distillery (Elk River Rd)

Award-winning Colorado distillery with a full cocktail bar, whiskey garden, restaurant, and tours—perfect for sipping inventive cocktails and whiskey flights.

Mythology Mountainside (Base Area)

Mythology’s après-style pop-up at the base of Steamboat Resort, serving their spirits and cocktails steps from the lifts—ideal for ski-day drinks and snacks.

Dives & Late-Night Fun

Where things tend to get a little louder and a lot more entertaining.

Sunpies

Iconic riverside dive bar with cheap drinks, a lively patio on the Yampa, and serious “you had to be there” energy.

Old Town Pub & Restaurant

Local institution in a historic building with pub fare, strong drinks, and frequent live music.

Schmiggity’s

Late-night bar and live music venue where dancing, singing along, and questionable moves on the dance floor are highly encouraged.
